Battlefield Mobile appeared on the Google Play Store by surprise, well in advance of what DICE announced in the spring. On April 22, the representatives of the software house had confirmed that a new chapter of the Battlefield series was in development for smartphones and that it would be published in 2022. The version available on the Google Play Store cannot be downloaded and probably was published by DICE by mistake, but it allows us to take a first look at the free-to-play game.
Battlefield Mobile is described as a “true chapter in the Battlefield series, with environmental destructibility, multiple game modes, customizable classes, and unique heroes for players to use.”
The description goes on to state that users will be able to “choose their equipment from weapons and gadgets, fight for control of incredible vehicles such as tanks and ATVs, use the abilities of the characters to get the better of their opponents and participate in a large-scale battle.”
The game will allow users to choose a starting class from Assault, Support, Medic, and Scout and create their battle squadron. Matches “will allow players to experience all those situations that make Battlefield special.” Below you can take a look at some pictures.
Battlefield Mobile appears to be built on the same model as Call of Duty: Mobile, already a global success with over 500 million registered users. The game will be released in 2022 on iOS and Android.
