The official premiere of Battlefield 2042 is not until November 19, but the game has already hit the Sony servers, thanks to which we got to know the production size and the initial download date. We also learned that EA Play subscribers – and therefore Xbox Game Pass – will receive as much as 10 hours of test fun before the debut.
As Sony’s Twitter account specializing in the early search for information about games reveals, Battlefield 2042 is currently only 42.7 GB. Still, we are talking about the size without the so-called day one patch, a premiere update that is sure to come. Of course, it can be expected that production will take up a similar amount of space on other platforms.
Preload will begin November 17 for the Standard Edition, and Gold and Ultimate buyers will be downloading the game starting November 10.
There is also some good news for EA Play subscribers. The tech support page of the new shooter Dice reveals that they will be getting 10 hours of free play starting November 12. It is on this day that the official premiere of the Gold and Ultimate versions takes place.
As EA Play is part of the Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft subscribers will also access 10-hour tests.
