The latest Basemark test results for AMD Radeon RX 6800 graphics cards were leaked, spotted by Videocardz. The benchmark shows and compares the base variant of the RX 6000 series powered by Big Navi GPU, which will be released next week.
The latest leaked benchmark shows AMD Radeon RX 6800 (listed as Radeon RX 6900 series in Basemark database). The graphics card appears as an RX 6900 series card as it is based on the same Navi 21 GPU as the other two Big Navi based graphics cards. The video card was tested on the X570 platform, which consists of MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE motherboard, AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core processor, and the latest driver (27.20.14501.1206).
In terms of performance, the AMD Radeon RX 6800 (Non-XT) GPU scored 14,635 in the DX12 API and 13,846 in the Vulkan API. GeForce RTX 3070 scored 13,662 points in the Vulkan API and 13,368 points in the DX12 API. GeForce RTX 2080 Ti scores 14,089 points with DirectX API 12 and 14,691 points with API Vulkan. The GeForce RTX 2080 Ti gets a bigger boost with the Vulkan API than the GeForce RTX 3070, which is slightly faster with Vulkan.
If we look at the performance indicators, then the Radeon RX 6800 is about 7-8% faster than the GeForce RTX 3070 and 4% faster than the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti (DirectX 12) and is on par with the Vulkan API. Looking at these advantages, the Radeon RX 6800 is a serious competitor to the RTX 3070, which costs $ 80 more and offers better performance and twice the memory. Sure, the card has a TDP higher than 250W than the RTX 3070 with a 220W TDP, but the 30W difference doesn’t matter when you look at the higher performance you get out of the box.
