Assassin’s Creed Valhalla recently became the second biggest hit in Ubisoft history, scoring record sales within a year of launch. Waiting for the release of Assassin’s Creed: Infinity, the French software house may continue to support the game on the Vikings in the long term, and, in addition to the new expansion coming out in 2022 and the Oskoreia Festival, another DLC is coming soon.
Recently, Ubisoft added a new trophy set to Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, titled “Tombs of the Fallen” with only two unlockable bronze trophies: Speleologist, which requires you to complete a tomb of the fallen, and Cryptologist, who requires you to complete three. It is quite likely that this new DLC then introduces three tombs to explore and that it may be linked to the next big expansion or wild hunt festival. The amount of content does not seem sufficient for a paid DLC. Ubisoft has released an avalanche of free content in the last year, so we can expect this to be another downloadable update at no additional cost.
In all cases, the good news is that there is new content on the way for owners of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which is increasingly turning into a live service game. Between the new expansion coming out in 2022 and the prolonged support for the game, the announcement of a new Season Pass could also be upon us.
