Assassin's Creed Valhalla: one-handed swords will arrive soon via a free update

Assasin’s Creed: Valhalla is the first major chapter of the franchise to boast one-handed swords, which have always been a fan favourite. In the colossal open world of Ubisoft, the protagonist Eivor can wield spears, daggers, axes, clubs, and other types of sidearms. Although they are present in some game videos, the development house has decided not to include the type of weapons anymore absolute request. Fortunately, however, things are about to change, at least according to what producer Jose Araiza said.

Araiza began working on the series with the first instalment of Layla Hassan’s trilogy, Assassin’s Creed: Origins, and has always had a good relationship with fans. In a recent interview granted to US YouTuber JorRaptor, the producer revealed that “one-handed swords are about to arrive” and that “fans have been clamouring for them in recent months, but obviously creating a new type of sword from scratch. ‘weapons will still take some time. ” You can hear the words of the producer at minute 2:10.

For the moment, the update does not have a release date, but at least we know for sure that Ubisoft has listened to the feedback from fans and that it will introduce new weapons in the following months. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has several free and paid content coming in the course of 2021. Given the game’s popularity, it is normal that the developers want to support the title in all possible ways.
