Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a game filled with mysteries. A keen-eyed fan has finally revealed the identity of the last sage of the Aesir. It is about King Harald the Blonde, who unites Norway’s clans at the start of the game, prompting Eivor and Sigurd to travel to England. Redditor, Lacrossedeamon, made the discovery when he noticed a clear black mark on Harald’s neck, hidden behind his hair. All characters who are reincarnated versions of the aesir gods have this sign.
Spoiler alert!
The big story twist at the end of the game reveals that Eivor and Sigurd are related to Isu, a race of godlike humans who lived before humans. Two additional chapters in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla give us a glimpse of this civilization, dominated by the Scandinavian gods we are already familiar with, such as Odin, Thor, and Freya.
As shown at the end of these chapters, Odin and his company connected to Yggdrasil, allowing them to reincarnate as other humans later in history before meeting their demise in Ragnarok. The player learns that Odin and Tyr have reincarnated into Eyvor and Sigurd, respectively, and Basim is the reincarnated version of Loki.
Since the game’s release, many fans have been looking for characters who could be the reincarnated forms of other ase gods who followed Odin. For example, it has recently been discovered that Halfdan Ragnarsson – the Eurviskire region leader – is the reincarnation of Thor. Until today, only one character remained to be discovered, and now it has become clear that this character was King Harald. What kind of God he is reincarnated remains to be determined.
