Ubisoft has decided to celebrate its 35th anniversary and the recent crossover between Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey and Valhalla with a small gift for fans. From now on, all PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Stadia players can download the full version of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey for free and experience the adventure of Alexios and Kassandra up to and including Sunday, December 20. Preload is available right now, and the game will be completely free for the next five days.
The free trial starts tomorrow, December 16. Ubisoft has activated the preloads to allow players with a slower connection to avoid losing even a minute of play. The end of the free demo is set for December 20 (Editor’s note. The attached Twitter post incorrectly marks 19, but Ubisoft has confirmed that the trial will continue until Sunday inclusive), and all the progress obtained will not be lost, so in case you decide to buy the game you will pick up exactly where you left off.
Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey is the second installment in the Layla Hassan trilogy, after Origins and Valhalla. The game had more than satisfactory sales, with over 10 million copies shipped in March 2020 and mostly positive reviews. If you have never had the opportunity to try it, now is the right time to dive into this adventure.
