Animal Crossing: New Horizons update 2.0, scheduled for release on November 5, has been released by surprise. It’s a fairly extensive patch that adds all sorts of new mechanics and NPCs salvaged from previous games. One of the most anticipated additions is the cafeteria, the gyroids, the ordinances – which allow modifying the hours and behaviors of the neighbors in the game – and new furniture and hairstyles.
The 2.0 update is free and can be downloaded by accessing the game from the console’s main menu. The paid DLC, Happy Home Paradise, is not yet available. At least in the Europe store, it is still listed as a pre-order and cannot be downloaded.
