In a recent article posted on the company’s blog (via VGC ), AMD revealed that its latest framerate acceleration technology, FSR 2.0, will soon be available to all those developing titles for Xbox. However, according to the company, there is still no planned release date:
” […] we don’t yet have a date set for when you can expect Xbox games that include FSR 2.0 “.
FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) technology is AMD’s answer to Nvidia’s DLSS technology, which uses artificial intelligence to increase ( upscale ) the resolution of PC games, allowing gamers to achieve better graphics results without having to sacrifice performance.
The first version of this technology was released in June 2021 and has been very well received, making it the most globally adopted AMD technology in the company’s history. It is available in more than 90 companies, 61 games, and 20 titles that have not yet been released.
The second version, FSR 2.0, was announced last week and is scheduled for release in Q2 2022.
