Remedy has officially announced Alan Wake Remastered, an updated version of its 2010 cult classic. The remaster will be released in fall 2021 on PC and console, published by Epic Games, and includes the original game and its two expansions, enhanced with at 4K and the comment of the creative director Sam Lake.
In a post on Twitter, Lake dedicated the remaster to fans of the Alan Wake series: “We can’t thank you enough for the love and support you’ve shown these 11 years… but I can try. Welcome to Bright Falls, again, for the first time. Welcome to Bright Falls, by new, for the first time. This is for you.”
With the original game launching exclusively on Xbox 360, this will be the first time that Alan Wake will be available for PlayStation users. With the announcement of the remaster, it is reasonable to expect the reveal of the elusive expected sequel to the game in the future. Stay tuned!
