Hasan Kahraman, Game Director of the new PS5 exclusive Abandoned, recently participated in Colin Moriarty’s Sacred Symbols podcast. He discussed his project and the rumors that he has often seen him associated with Konami and Hideo Kojima in the last year. The author revealed that he had to clarify by phone with Konami due to the rumors and stressed once again that the connections are non-existent.
“I had to contact them; I was stressed because many people were convinced that Abandoned was Silent Hill,” explained the Game Director, “you know how it is; you are a small independent developer, and you have never had a large audience, so you don’t know exactly how to handle these situations. I contacted Konami explaining that it was not my intention to associate with them, and fortunately, they were very friendly “.
Kahraman continued talking about his project and the connections with Hideo Kojima: “I made a short video to show myself to the public, to make them understand that I exist. I am not associated with Hideo Kojima, I am not an actor, and I am not working on Silent Hill. I hope to be able to organize a Q&A with the fans soon. ”
Curiously, Kahraman continued the interview by stating that the Abandoned prologue in development “will fund the actual game,” so it may not be in production. For more details, we just have to wait for this new Q&A.
