After revealing the price and launch date of the PlayStation 5 console at an online event titled PS5 Showcase, now Sony has dared to provide complete information regarding this new next-gen console.
Well, recently, the CEO of PlayStation, Jim Ryan, discussed the Backward Compatibility feature on the PlayStation 5, which is said to allow users to play PlayStation 4 games on the console.
As quoted from The Washington Post, Jim Ryan said that 99 percent of PS4 games could be played smoothly on PS5. He has also tried almost all games to see if the game can run on the PS5 or not.
Although it doesn’t provide a complete list of PlayStation 4 games that can be played, now at least potential PlayStation 5 buyers are relieved that they will be able to play games like God of War, TLOU, to Uncharted 4 on their next-gen console.
However, Sony is still reluctant to confirm whether the Backward Compatibility feature on the PlayStation 5 will also support games on the PlayStation 3, 2, or 1. Because of course, many want to feel nostalgic playing old games again.
The presence of the Backward Compatibility feature is now not one of the horrendous features anymore. Because Microsoft alone, through the new Xbox Series X also has a similar feature.
